SHANNON FARNAN'S
PORTFOLIO

Po-Ching Fang uses a celdon colored glaze and a rustic colored glaze on the base to show a contradiction between the two. I used Cascade Water fall and glossy white to show juxtaposition between the pieces.

I liked Fang's idea of including a base for his structure. His creations show a soft glass like look which I wanted to incorporate into my project.

Heather Knight wants her work to show the illusion of movement and have a unique shadow when it hits the light. In my final project I created two different textures for the candle holders.

She is inspired by nature and focuses on a repetitive texture with a basic form. The type of clay she uses is porcelain. She says,“ The texture is buttery smooth, the color a brilliant white and the working properties challenging.” I used a white glaze to try and show off the white color as well as create a clean whimsical look for the candle stand and holder.

This poster shows the steps that were taken throughout the creating process of the final project. It compares the original idea/sketch to the outcome as well as explains the incorporation of my chosen artists.
